Frequently asked

How does the Lift Clock work out its times?

Enter your pickup time on the Plan screen. Hangi Lift works the day backwards from it — lighting the fire, heating the stones, loading and covering the baskets, time in the ground, then the lift — using the minutes you set for heat and ground time. Every step shows its own start time and a countdown to the next one.

A step ran late. What happens to the rest of the day?

Open the step and choose Push Back. The remaining steps are re-planned around the delay, and the banner at the top tells you straight away whether pickup is still on track or by how many minutes it has slipped.

Where is my data stored?

Entirely on your device. Hangi Lift has no account and no server, so your orders, kai sheet, crew and pit log history stay on your phone or iPad and are never uploaded. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Does the app work without the internet?

Yes. Hangi Lift does not need a network connection for anything — it is built to be used standing by the fire with patchy or no signal.

Why does the app ask for the camera or my photos?

Only so you can attach a photo of the lift or the stones to a pit log entry, or choose one from your library. Nothing is uploaded; the photo stays with the entry on your device.
