Hangi Lift is a pit book for running a hāngī fundraiser: timing the fire, the baskets and the lift, tracking pre-orders, and keeping a log from one hāngī to the next. This page explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with your information.
Nothing. Hangi Lift has no account, no sign-in and no server of its own. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no tracking of any kind, and the app does not communicate with us or with any third party while you use it.
Everything you enter — pickup times, pre-orders, the kai sheet, your crew roster, gear lists and your pit log history — is stored locally in the app's own database on your phone or iPad. It is never uploaded anywhere. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.

Hangi Lift asks for camera access only so you can photograph the lift, the stones or the finished baskets and attach that photo to a pit log entry for next time. It asks for photo library access so you can choose an existing photo instead, and to save a run-sheet image you create for sharing. These permissions are requested only at the moment you use that feature, and any photo you add stays in the app's own storage on your device — it is not uploaded.
If you turn on step alerts, Hangi Lift asks permission to schedule local notifications so it can remind you when the next step of the hāngī is due. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device; no notification content is sent to us or to any third party.
When you use the Share button to send a run sheet or shopping list, the image or text is handed to iOS's own share sheet so you can choose where it goes (Messages, Mail, printing, and so on). That sharing action is between you and the destination you pick — Hangi Lift is not a party to it.
Hangi Lift does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
